Terms of use

The rules for your Lingofirst account, free learning access, educational content, and support.

About these terms

Draft updated: 1 October 2026. Effective date: to be set at public launch. These terms cover the Lingofirst website, accounts, lessons, and progress features. The privacy notice explains how personal information is used; it is not blanket consent to additional processing.

The service operator

Proposed operator format: [full legal name], an individual operating as Lingofirst in Indonesia. Service address: [operator's service address]. Support: lingo@merayakan.online. Replace the identity placeholders with the actual operator before launch; Lingofirst is the product name.

Who may create an account

The first release is for people aged 18 or older who can enter an agreement under the law that applies to them. Registration asks you to confirm your age; it does not verify a birth date. Do not register using another person's identity or email address.

Your account and security

Use an email address you can access, verify it, and keep your password and verification links private. Do not share your account or allow someone else to impersonate you. Tell support if you suspect unauthorized access. Use password recovery when needed; support will not ask you to reveal your password.

You can change supported preferences in Settings and permanently delete a learner account after confirming your password. Deletion ends access to its saved learning records. If you cannot sign in or deletion fails, contact support. The privacy notice explains primary-record deletion and the separate backup/log retention limits.

Learning access

Lingofirst starts with English courses for everyday use, work/study, travel, and introductory exam practice, with Indonesian and English interfaces. Additional target languages are available only when a corresponding course is published. An account is needed for saved lessons, review schedules, and preferences; the public sample can be tried without one.

Educational and exam practice

Activities, feedback, level suggestions, completion records, and study-time estimates support personal practice. They are not qualifications, official assessments, or a promise of fluency or an exam score. Exam tasks are original practice; Lingofirst is not an official test provider or an affiliate of the exam owners. Guided writing and speaking use self-review and do not receive an assessed language score.

Content and your own work

You may access and use the learning material for your personal study, including ordinary private study notes. Lingofirst's original content and illustrations and third-party material/software remain subject to their owners' rights and applicable licenses. Commercial redistribution, resale, or copying the service requires permission, except where law or an applicable license permits it. You may share links to public pages.

You retain rights to your own writing. Current guided-writing drafts stay in browser memory and speaking practice does not record your voice. If you voluntarily send material to support, we use it to handle that request under the privacy notice. Do not send material you lack permission to share.

Acceptable use

Do not access another learner's account or private data, bypass access controls, distribute malicious code, overload the service, automate abusive registrations, impersonate others, or infringe another person's rights. Report a vulnerability privately and avoid accessing or copying other people's data while doing so.

Free access and later paid features

The initial core learning service is free and currently takes no subscription payments. Future advanced features may be paid. Any purchase must present its price, currency, included features, taxes where applicable, renewal/cancellation terms, and applicable refund information before you agree. Creating a free account does not authorize a future charge.

Availability and corrections

We aim to provide a useful service, but maintenance, technical problems, and content corrections can interrupt access. Courses or lessons may be revised or withdrawn. A saved completion is a learning record, not a guarantee that a particular lesson will remain available forever. Report incorrect material or failed saves to support; leave an uncertain save visible until the app confirms it.

Restrictions and account closure

The operator may restrict access when reasonably necessary to address a serious rule violation, a security risk, an underage account, or a legal requirement. Where possible, we will explain the reason and give you a way to ask for review through support; urgent safety or security action may come first. Closure does not remove applicable privacy rights or justify keeping personal information without a valid reason.

Service and terms changes

The proposed launch policy is to give at least 14 days' notice of material changes to these terms or a material reduction in the core service, through the website or account email. Urgent security or legal changes may apply sooner with an explanation where possible. We will date the revised terms and state when they take effect. Changes apply prospectively and do not authorize a charge or waive an existing mandatory right.

Your legal rights

Free access does not remove the rights and remedies provided by applicable law. These terms do not exclude responsibilities or limit protections that cannot lawfully be excluded, including applicable consumer and personal-data rights. They do not guarantee an educational outcome.

Law and resolving concerns

Indonesian law is proposed for the initial service, subject to confirmation of the operator and mandatory protections where you live. You may email support to seek an informal resolution, but this is not a condition for using a competent court, regulator, or consumer-dispute process. No exclusive overseas forum or compulsory arbitration is imposed by this draft.

Contact

Contact lingo@merayakan.online for account help, content corrections, complaints, or an account-restriction review. Include the affected page or lesson and a short description; do not include passwords, verification codes, or unnecessary personal information. Mailbox monitoring and the support process must be confirmed before launch.
